About Us
B.K. Security Services was founded in 1979 by a former Fisheries Protection Officer and Professional dog handler/trainer. It is a family owned business with the original directors still at the helm.
In the initial years, the business was built on a solid local commercial and Industrial client base. The company also moved into the field of providing security for public functions and high profile individuals and their property.
Over the last number of years, in the course of developing its business, B.K. Security Services has been providing its services to a number of national companies in the Industrial, Commercial and Retail arena and has established itself as a highly professional company with a long-term commitment to satisfying its customers and providing a fully flexible and reliable service in the increasingly demanding field of security.
In August 2005, B.K. Security Services became the first indigenous Kerry based company to receive the NSAI IS999.2004 standard. This accreditation took almost twelve months of assessment by the NSAI and means that you the client can be assured of the highest standards in all areas including personnel and service.
On the 10th April 2006, again after a strict vetting process, B.K. Security Services was granted a licence by the Private Security Authority.
Also in April of 2006, B.K. Security Services opened a Security Institute of Ireland and FETAC registered Security Industry Training School adjacent to its kennels and dog handler training centre in Castleisland, Co. Kerry. This was the first of its kind in the country and provides recognised training courses for industrial, commercial and retail Security officers. In addition training is provided for Door Security Personnel.
