The benefits of Multi-point locks
Multipoint locks are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, but the name doesn’t mean much to many people right now. Put simply, multi-point locks include a centrally located deadbolt and a latch. This basically means that you can put the latch on, and leave the house without having to worry about being locked out.
You can however take the latch off, and leave the house without needing to worry about whether or not you’ve locked the door! It’s a really handy feature, especially if you’re in a hurry, but you can double lock the door, meaning you leave the house feeling assured by the extra safe locking mechanism. Some doors also include a chain, but you’ll see less of these being used nowadays, and most modern doors will just include a multi-point locking system.
